Landscape Architecture/Regional and Community Planning

The practice of landscape architecture, with its applications to urban, suburban, and rural environments, is broad. This field encompasses the analysis of sites to determine their most appropriate future uses and recommends management practices such as development, preservation, or restoration; the arrangement of built components such as buildings, transportation systems, and pedestrian systems; and the design of site features such as plazas, gardens, and parks. Our regional and community planning program is internationally recognized for its approach to rural, small-town, and community-based planning, design, development, and preservation.
