Entries for the Kansas State University College of Architecture, Planning, and Design Second Annual Student Photography Competition are being displayed in the Chang Gallery of Seaton Hall through Friday, April 11. The exhibit is open to the public weekdays from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. The competition was open to all graduate and undergraduate students in the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design, according to competition organizer Fayez Husseini, professor of interior architecture and product design. The competition jury was composed of K-State faculty/staff, Professor Bill Adams, Department of Journalism and Mass Communications; Mr. Jim Rigg, Art and Design Director, Educational Communications Center; and K-State alumnus Mr. Tom Tyler, bachelor of architecture 1974, Principal of Answers, Inc., St. Louis, MO. Competition prizes were sponsored by Mr. Tyler, who is an avid photographer and long-time supporter of the college, and the Dean’s Office of the College of Architecture, Planning and Design. The total amount of prize money awarded at this competition was $750 and was distributed as follows: $100 for Best in Show, $75 for First Place, $50 for Second Place and $25 for Honorable Mention. Fifteen of the 92 entries in the blind competition were selected for special recognition.
